Yes, my favorite pictures on this site are kind of... eh.... hrmm... Perhaps those who know me would say they reveal a darker side to my personality. But DANG IT, they are GORGEOUS!! ^_^ You know they are.

I personally have no drawing skills. I do LIKE making artwork (the process is fun, even if I'm not amazing), and I fancy myself a good judge of what is skillful and beautiful. So I kind of sit on the sidelines and cheer the geniuses on! WOOT!!

But, back to my story. How is it coming along? Well, I have about half of the important names, and I've begun character studies. Once that's all finished, chapters will come rolling out a lot faster. I expect to get a lot of work done this week because I'm going on vacation! Yay!! I'm not taking any technology with me (need a BREAK), but as long as I have the names, I can rock the ol' pen and paper.

The names are important. For me, they're like a guide or a ruler for the character studies. They conjure up an image of the character for who he or she is. If the story is starting to get away from me and the characters are doing things that aren't in line with who I envisioned them to be in the first place, the names help me get back to the original vision. They help me write straight.
